Your frequently asked questions

Can't find what you are looking for here use the contact form below to submit your question.

Are the rings fully fenced?

Yes they are. They have green mesh fencing all the way around and gates. In addition to this we operate a 2 metre no dog zone from the fence.

Do you have pay on the day entries?

No we don't. All admin is done before the show so it is one less thing to do on the day as there a lot to do to help the day run smoothly.

I'm really nervous about my first show. Is it okay if wee make a mistake?

Absolutely! We prioritize progress over perfection. Our environment is judgement-free, and our community cheers just as loud for a learning moment as they do for a clear round.

What's the youngest I can bring a dog to Bee Happy IDA?

15 months old and is restricted to the nursery level until 18 months old then normal progress applies.

What is an NFC run?

NFC (Not For Competition) means you can use your time in the ring as a dedicated training session. It's a great way to build your dog's confidence in a show environment without the pressure of a score.

Can I bring a toy into the ring?

Yes! In our Nursery Grades, you are encouraged to run with a silent toy in your hand to help motivate and reward your dog.

Dog Heights at Pinkfox IDA Shows: What You Need to Know

Understanding dog heights is an important part of competing at Pinkfox IDA shows, and we aim to make the process as clear and stress-free as possible for both you and your dog.

Our Height Categories

At Pinkfox, we primarily follow the Kennel Club height cut-offs. We're also delighted to include a Mini height category, offering more opportunities for our smaller canine friends to compete!
Pinkfox height categories Jump height
Mini 20 cm
Small 30 cm
Medium 40 cm
Intermediate 50 cm
Large 60 cm

Registering Your Dog's Height

When you register your dog with Pinkfox we'll need to know their height. Here's how we handle it:

Existing Measurements:
If your dog has already been officially measured and received a height certificate from either The Kennel Club or Agility 4 All, we're happy to accept these measurements. Just let us know when you register!

New Measurements:
If your dog hasn't been measured by either of these organizations, don't worry! We'll simply need to measure them on the morning of their very first Pinkfox show with us.

Our Measuring Process

We use a measuring stick to accurately determine your dog's height. We'll always agree on the final height with you. We understand that some dogs can be a little nervous about being measured, so we take every step possible to ensure your dog is comfortable and not stressed during the process. Their well-being is our top priority!

When and Where to Measure

All measurements for the day must be completed before 9:00 AM. On show mornings, you'll typically find me (often busy setting up the rings!). Please come and locate me before 9 AM, and we'll get your dog measured quickly and calmly.

My dog is quite heavy; are the jumps safe for them?

We care about longevity. Any dog measuring as "Large" but weighing over 25kg is registered as Intermediate. This reduces the impact on their joints so they can keep enjoying agility for years to come.

Agility class

At Pinkfox IDA we prefer flowing course designs with plenty of space between obstacles. The goal is to help you to foster your dog's confidence whilst in the ring.

Nursery, Anysize and Veterans all run the same course that has no weaves or seesaw. In addition to this, the A-frame and Dog-walk are both lowered.

Enjoy competing with your dog whilst holding a silent toy in your hand, a bonus that is not awarded to Pre Intro and above grades unless they choose to run NFC*.

Jumping class

Similar to our agility courses, we have a preference for our jumping course designs to have minimal tricky turns in favour for clear lines.

Nursery, Anysize and Veterans all run the same course with a maximum of 18 obstacles.

Pre Intro and above will see a maximum of 21 obstacles. Our goal is to enjoy longevity with our furry best friends and we hope you agree to.
*NFC = Not For Competition, in short, a training run so you can reward your dog whilst in the ring. You will be given the course time to do this.
